AFCAT: Airforce Common Admission Test 

Conducted by: Indian Air Force (IAF)

AFCAT Notifications: 

                You may anticipate the exam notifications of AFCAT twice in a year. Mostly, exam notifications will be released in the month of December/January and June/July.

1)    Flying branch – Eligibility criteria
2)    Technical branch – Eligibility criteria
3)    Ground duty branch - Eligibility criteria

Exam Date and center:        

            Exam date of December/January notifications will be on upcoming February/march month and June/July will be on august/September month.
            AFCAT Exam will be conducted in the respective AFCAT center (which you need to mention while you fill up the application) and information of your exam center will be sent to you via post.


SYLLABUS FOR AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST (AFCAT)

1) General awareness:

         History - sports - geography – Environment – civics - Basic science- defense- art- culture-current affairs – politics etc

2) Verbal ability in English:

              Comprehension- Error detection- sentence completion – synonyms-Antonyms-Testing of vocabulary

3) Numerical ability:

             Decimal fraction – simplification – average – profit and loss – percentage – ratio and proportion – testing of vocabulary      

 4)   Reasoning and military aptitude test    
          
                      Verbal skills – spatial ability


        Note:    
  •                       AFCAT exam will consists of 100 questions with multiple choice options. 
  •                       Each question will be of three marks.
  •                       Candidate will get three marks for every correct answer
  •                       One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
  •                       Total hours will be given to write the exam: Two hour
